You may think, “my life is okay…it could be better, but it could be worse too.”
And you know what? You’re right.
I’m going to take a wild guess and assume that you don’t want to be in the “worse” category.
So, let’s talk about how your life could be better.
Aligned living is a two-fold concept. It entails properly aligning your life vertically. That’s establishing and developing a relationship with God. On the other hand, it involves properly aligning your life horizontally. That’s across the various areas of your life. For example, your relationships, body, career (work), money, etc.
You’re not living on the right frequency for your life when you’re misaligned. You feel dissatisfied, unhappy, and unfulfilled. At times maybe even feel irritated, frustrated, disappointed, or empty, as if something is missing.
Oftentimes that’s because you know what’s missing. To your dismay, “what’s missing” seems to be playing a “keep away” game with you.
There are times when we’ve done all we can and must leave the outcome up to God. Then, there are times when we have to take greater responsibility for our lives and live better on purpose.
If you know you can do better, then do better.
Unachieved goals and large gaps between where you are and where you want to be over an extended period of time can cause a significant decrease in your life satisfaction.
When you notice that you’re living in misalignment – notice without judgment. Meaning, don’t start gaslighting and shaming yourself. Don’t beat yourself up. And don’t kick yourself while you’re down.
Be truthful about where you are and set the intention for your next immediate step to move forward from that place. A necessary step to realigning your life is assessing your current quality of life to identify the areas where you are misaligned and can make improvements to increase your fulfillment.
Once you discover the gaps, you can begin to evaluate your beliefs in the various areas of your life, work to recalibrate limiting beliefs, and develop a plan to improve your life on purpose.
Intentionality is a key trait to embody on your journey to true fulfillment.
You can begin to make a difference in the world by starting with yourself. Your light will shine so much brighter when your soul is happy. When is your soul happy? When you’re actively taking strides to live aligned both vertically and horizontally.
Happiness in your soul is life-changing. It shifts your entire state – your mood, mindset, and energy.
Aligned living is the frequency of purpose.
If you want to discover your purpose – realign your life.
If you want to experience true fulfillment – realign your life.
If you want to make a difference in the world – realign your life.
If you want to live the life that God created you to live – realign your life.
Change is simple AND it’s hard.
It’s simple because what needs to happen to make a change is often not complicated. And it’s hard because it requires effort, sacrifice, discomfort, and inconvenience consistently for an undetermined period of time.
It’s in choosing to do what’s hard that we experience real growth.
This journey to true fulfillment and impact through realignment and transformation birthed Journey to Me (JTM). It’s so much easier to just hope for more out of life. To dream big. To dream bigger. And to fantasize about “one day.”
It’s not always easy to persevere and stay committed in the face of give-up opportunities, challenges, and obstacles. Your commitment, consistency, and intentionality are necessary to experience true fulfillment in your life and make a difference in the world.
